So, when in HTML you use the body tag and bgcolor, does it matter if you spell it the British way as in colour

Yes, I just tried it to be sure and it doesn't work the British way...

No, because all coding language has it own keywords, so the web browser has reserved the word "color" for colouring purposes and not colour...🙌😺😻
