it depends to your interrest but the most sutable one for the firstimers who does not have any basic stuff about programming in general i belive you could start with c++ with the ABC and you can off to your field of interrest web or data bases and stuff.

It entirely depends upon your requirements. It would, however, be better if you started with HTML, CSS, mysql and Javascript. Then, go ahead for C, C++ and Java. You could then do python, php and other programming languages.

I recommend C and C++. Once you are done with C and C++ every other languages seems to be sorted out easily

Learning languages is based on your requirement. For android app development go through JAVA and XML,For web design go through HTML,CSS,JAVASCRIPT For web development learn Backend languages LIKE PHP and RUBY,For IOS DEVELOPMENT learn SWIFT

I think for you as a beginner , go for C++ as it has many real time concepts (OOPs feature : Abstraction ) and it is much easier to learn but if you want to learn many programming languages in future then go from the very initial C cause it has procedure oriented programming approach and is the very beginning of programming languages !

Agree with Ravikumar - in fact, I would even recommend the order listed above is a good order to begin with for each. Front end - start with HTML. App start with Java and Web Backend I would start with PHP or MySQL to get a good grip on things.

Most people would start learning C in the beginning to get a basic idea of programming and then move on to other languages. There is no thumb rule to start with a specific language. Its subjective to your goal/requirement and area of interest.

Start with wed design languages including; CSS, HTML, JavaScript. If you want to start out with a real programming language go python.
