I use a gmail account to login to SoloLearn. Now I have a PC in my school where I want to log on to SoloLearn, but need to access the gmail account first... But on logging in, it says that this is a foriegn PC and so you must use your phone to confirm that it is you... But I cannot bring my phone to school... So how can I disable this check so that I can login to SoloLearn? I have removed the recovery ph.no., but that didn't help at all...

So, how will I ensure that the school PC stays on by that time? I don't think they will keep it on...

Though I can now logon to SoloLearn without using gmail signin prompt, the problem happens with me on step 4)...
There, I don't receive any mail, but get a prompt to use my phone to confirm that it is me who wants to change the password...

@seamiki
Yes, That is the notification I recieve when I return, but I have done this 3 times, and yet there is no change...

@seamiki
OMG, gotta create an app just to get a code from an SMS...
So there is no option to shut the service down?
I mean, maybe logging off from the mobile?

@seamiki
Is there a way I can link the check part to an email instead of the phone number?
And one more thing... Google sends the prompt and code just as a notification which is not saved on the phone as anything
It just shows a blue and white screen...
How will the app copy from that?

Ill try this...

why don't you activate your account using the Gmail app directly through your phone?

you can also create a new gmail account from your school computer and connect it to your SL account.

1) open www.sololearn.com
2) on the login screen tap on "forgot password"
3) enter your gmail id
4) you should receive a mail that containing reset password link
5) open it in browser
6) create a new password
done!!!
next time,
you can log in with your gmail id and this password.
no need to "Sign in Using Google"
Happy Coding....😊

when you try to access your gmail account from a new device, you'll get a warning email that an attempted login was blocked from device xxxx
Confirm that it is one of your devices and next time you should be able to log in to your email.
Option B: put as the recovery phone number, a number of a relative of yours and have him call the schhol requesting to talk to you when he receives the sms with the code.
Option C: make an app (using appinventor is easy) that tweets the sms you received if the content is only numbers. (unsecure option)
