I think that JavaScript is a valuable language to learn, but if you want to excel at it, learning HTML and CSS first would be your best approach. It will help you interact with the DOM better. wish you the best.

Yes javascript is a great language to learn. In fact, I will go as far as saying, javascript is the most popular language that can exist in the front end, backend and server side code and all major platforms supports it such as mobile devices, all browsers, node.js is a server side javascript library. The sky is the limit with Javascript. I agree that an understanding of the DOM is needed in order to excel at it, but you can learn that as you Learn Javascript. Set some goals and go after it. I hope I answered your question. AND WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE DON'T GET ATTACHED TO CLASS INHERITANCE! I don't think you know about classes yet but you will if you start learning javascript so don't forget my capital letters! :)
