Which first; JavaScript or Jquery?

I'm trying to embark on a new adventure and due to the fact that I want to be focused, I'm only learning a course at a time on Sololearn. After being done with my courses on HTML, CSS and Responsive Web Design, right now, I'm finding it hard to decide the next move, whether to learn JavaScript or Jquery. Please someone should proffer a nice solution to me and give me reasons why I should go with his or her choice. Thanks in advance.

jQuery is a javascript framework. I would recommend you to do the js course first.

It just like asking: which first, the building or the foundation. Jquery is a javascript library basically used for DOM manipulation. Using Jquery requires you to know a little of Javascript

Realistically, you can learn jQuery and use it prior to learning Javascript. Logically, you would want to learn Javascript first and become familiar with it before you start learning Javascript libraries. Most jQuery courses will assume you have knowledge of JS also. After you learn those, PHP would be a good choice based on what you said. PHP is a back-end (server side) language used on many websites. I would also learn SQL so that you can understand how to utilize databases.

This is a question like what do we need first a mother or her child. All right you might not know that. JavaScript is the mother.
