You can't blame anything on Sololearn. It is just because users are careless they don't use search bar before asking questions. And if you think people ask terrible questions then it doesn't mean that all questions are terrible. People ask good questions too. It depends upon the users what they ask it is not the fault of platform. And we have a great team of moderators who helps in removing such questions and answers. If you find any of such questions you can report them in the safe thread and can also contact moderators they are always here to help you. Here is the link where you can report such things: https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/524028/?ref=app

Yea, that's kind of true, I usually take no answers at all when I ask about hard concepts and stuff that are hard to be answered, I only get answers when I ask simple questions, I do understand its easier for someone to answer an easy question than a hard question, but because of that hard questions end up being ignored.

As much as I'm inclined to agree with you, this is a platform for beginners. With exception to any of the totally off topic Q&A, inexperienced coders are going to ask inexperienced coder questions. I'm personally trying to work on my attitude when responding to some of these questions since my first instinct is to shut down something I view as unintelligent. But the thing with this platform is that almost everyone is new to coding. Some questions might sound dumb, but early in my career I remember asking some pretty dumb questions myself. I still feel stupid for asking them lol ... but the main thing is to try not to ridicule someone for their lack of knowledge on a topic and try to educate instead.

Hello NutellaMan , many people join sololearn every day. This is learning place. Sometimes beginners are not aware of search bar facilities. It is our task to guide them correctly. We always try to answer and explain. Sololearn community is for helping people.

I've always seen SoloLearn's Q&A section as the opposite of Stackoverflow. On Stackoverflow, it takes nothing for a question to be closed or marked as duplicate without further discussion, while on SoloLearn you can just smash your keyboard and what you will get in response is a nice message telling you to read the rules.

so SL have Moderator tier, you can see them by the color white, yellow/gold, blue/platinum(?). as far as i can remember (i dont have a good memory) moderator record the post/code that violate the rules, to be process later by the moderator in higher rank when they're available. so not only they send a nice message telling what's wrong with the post, they also took notes so moderation do happen, we just didnt see it. everything is recorded somewhere else, we know it happen only when the post will get deleted by looking at "mfd" tag put by the mods. on the front side its kinda less aggressive than SO, no huge yellow box or anything but less aggressive doesnt mean its less strict. also, mods regulating quite a lot of posts and codes in a day, and not every mods are actively reply the post
