How different are C++ and CSS?

So I want to make a website, but when using the notepad on my laptop it doesn't let me write in CSS only C++, when I choose which language to write in.

They're not even meant for the same thing.
C++ is a general purpose desktop programming language

CSS is a language for website styles, you can use CSS in a website, but you can't make a website with CSS

Yes, I realise the CSS is for website styles not actually making the websites, it was just because I have already done the html coding part just wanted to do styles but it didn't allow me to write in CSS. Thank you for your help 😁
