How hard is it to learn programming without motivation and without any knowledge of computer science?

I don't have any knowledge of computer science neither do I understand the genesis of compilation in JavaScript or any other programming language so most times it is sometimes discouraging to keep up with learning without having any motivation or reward for my learning most especially when it is not a science related field you are studying in the University despite the fact that I love programming. It is just so hard and painful.

We've all been there: that point when you feel you should just quit, or that programming is not for you. But I tell you what, 90% of developers had that same feeling. It's really difficult to do stuff you're not motivated about. So as for motivation, a simple way to get motivated is to just take 5 mins of your time and just daydream about how cool it would be if you could make that blockbuster software, or get employed at a renowned company. The essence here is to "keep your eyes on the prize", the more you consider your end goal, the more you subconsciously motivate yourself to forget ahead. Speaking about the computer science part, I'll say you don't "need" it. It's really helpful, but not a necessity
