How is it possible to do hacking with Python?

Question

I've seen a lot of people including Python in "must-know languages for hacking", but I dont understand how.

I have a very small knowledgment of modules, so could you give me examples? like sys, and other ones

I dont know too much about Python.But hacking mostly requires changing of database addresses, etc. If python can change addresses in a system, then it can be used to hack.

there's lot of library for pentesting but most of them in v2.7 not on 3.x
