bootstrap are coding blocks.
imagine you want to build a house. you could do it from scratch by your own. but you could also use an existing kitchen, a garage and a roof. there are already built and you just have to put it in/on your house. that is bootstrap.

jquery is similar but since it is for JavaScript it is called a library instead of framework.
you could write all the functions (coding blocks) by yourself — but to save time you better use the code that other people wrote already.
