I've often heard that Mark Lutz's "Learing Python" and "Programming Python" books is one of the best source for python programmers of all levels. Also I think that you should type code by your hands as many as you can to get used to this language, to start "feeling" it. Don't use ctrl+c/ctrl+v at the initial stage:)
