Does Reporting Help?

For every question and code, you have the option to report it. It asks you why you are reporting this and if you submit it, it thanks you for your help. My question is, am I really helping? Do the mods or Sololearn see those reports? Or should I report spam some other way?

If you look closely, there's a clear message trying to get users to not to use the Stay Safe thread as a dumping ground for non-urgent reports, so frankly speaking it is well preferred to not post those there, though mods tolerate it if you do. As Simba has pointed out, we do have a Discord server where there's a dedicated channel for reports of all kinds, but that requires you to sign up for Discord if you do not have it yet, so it is understandable if that option isn't viable for everyone. To answer your questions though, reports do help. The thing is, they are routed in such a way that is inconvenient for mods to address immediately. This is why we have the Stay Safe thread for urgent issues requiring mod attention (e.g. inappropriate imagery in codes, harassment, etc). For spam and other off-topic content unsuitable for Q&A, it is perfectly fine to continue to use the in-app report option.

I think in-app reports are handled by administrators not mods. You can join Sololearn Discord server to report repeated or offtopic questions. https://www.sololearn.com/post/722359/?ref=app We need to use safe thread for urgent reports only :)

Calvin Thomas We try our best to catch these and provide a window of opportunity for the original posters to show their attempt. If they don't link their work within that time frame, the thread is removed. Moderators have, at various times, recommended that minimum requirements be imposed prior to posting freely in the Q&A area as a deterrent, but the staff have a great number of other things to address.

Every time I check the Q&A section, I see a bunch of "Please make it..." "You are planning to..." "Make it fast urgent..." types of posts. These are usually posted by people who just want to solve their homeworks without taking a bit of effort. Can something be done about these kinds of posts?

Tapabrata 💞 Wixonic That does not answer my main question. Also, is that thread for repeated or offtopic questions?
