Copying codes

So i saw this code on trending and i had seen the same one on codepen last day.The code there and his one are exactly the same. The author here didn't give credits to the original one and even claimed the code was his own. When i asked him to give credits to the original creator he just deleted my comments. Is this allowed? No, plagiarism(codes without appropriate credit to source/original author) is not tolerated. You can report those in this thread. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/524028/?ref=app

Sololearn is a place where we learn. I have been insipired by codes which people create here. When I create a code I have a feeling that someone might want to learn from it. So, I have no problem if someone copy my code and modify it. The only problem is when the one who copies the code claims to have created the code. All codes copied should indicated the original author even if it has been modified. I don't think it is good to make a code which has not be modified and credited public.

As a person whose code has been copied I have wondered quite what the proper response should be. Clearly it can be helpful to copy a code for all sorts of reasons but where the details of the original author are deliberately removed (or there is no attempt to mention the source) then something seems wrong in the persons approach to the matter. In a recent case I thought that by pointing out that I was the author of code, code that was newly described as belonging to the person who copies it, that an attribution might then be added. However, I see today that the comments attached to the code have been deleted and no attribution added. Is it really worth reporting such people? I wonder what Henry Kamulanje would say.

Dheeraj.D Your answer interests me. Why do you say 'no'? I find myself feeling a little sad for people who claim they have written codes which are not their own but I am not sure about the idea of reporting them.
