Are you on Android? have you tried Snapseed from Google, it's pretty simple and works fine for basic image editing. If you're on Windows try irfanView (http://www.irfanview.com) may not look all fancy, but functionality is great, and performance is excellent. For linux, I only know gimp (https://www.gimp.org) not that much into graphics editing : )
