I have been told that in upcoming years, cloud computing, data science, AI and iot will be the dominating force in IT industry, so in that case a beginer like me should still focus on learning programming languages like java or python, or I should focus more on learning these new technology as my target

programming gives you superpowers even if you don't work in i. t. now if you are doing things related to i. t you should at least learn some basics. It helps you understand what goes on behind the scene. so you should definitely learn it.
