Which programming language for a start?
I just started learning computer programming not long ago with C++. I like it, but I don't know exactly if it was the best choice I could have done. I already know quite well TI Basic programming (even small games) so I gave a try with C++. Thanks for your suggestions about other potential languages. Cheers!

I and many others like Java. I also like a python a lot. The community and documentation around those languages are great, so you don't have to do everything alone. Maybe check out some courses other than sololearn (edx.org or coursera.org). But it also depends on what you want to do, why are you want to learn coding. No the best answer without details.

I started with C++ back in the 90s, so I don't personally see an issue with doing that. Really great language to know. When first starting, programming in general can feel intimidating, but key is just to keep persisting through it and it'll eventually stick. Just keep practicing and learning with it.
Today, I mostly deal with, and prefer, C# over the other C languages. For many, it has an easier syntax and is a bit less intimating. It's a great language, so you can't really go wrong with it.
What are your overall plans? Making games?

Thanks for all your posts! I'm thinking more into hobby software programming so I guess I'll continue C++ a bit but start C# and Java courses.
