Women have been working with code and computers since they began. A women helped build and program the first computer (Ada Lovelace), wrote the Assembly code for the Apollo space program (Margaret Hamilton), and invented the first compiler (Grace Hopper). It's not that women are intimidated by working in IT, it's how many people (men and women alike) think women don't belong there for whatever reason. Neither sex is more or less capable of applying what's relatively basic logic and structure. Perhaps the increased interest is due to how many more girls and women are using technologies that, in decades passed, were originally "for boys", like game consoles and a fair portion of the internet.

There is nothing that scare women about technical stuff or other type of work, at least no more that men (except maube something that needs more strength but even that has people for both genders)

Men are not necessarily better than women in programming. They're just larger in number, which makes it seem as if they have lots of successful ones in the gang. It all comes down to the individual rather than the gender - If you are intimidated by programming, you are. If you excel in it, you do. I've seen great programmers of both genders. :>

I actually wish there were more female programmers, I haven't met many, except the ones here on SoloLearn.

Girls are better programmers as they have logical approach but boys do things to show that they are **cool** Girls dont need to show off as they are confident in their actions dat what they do is awesome cool...

coding has been predominantly been male because it was never cool. now it is cool, so more women jump on the wagon.
