How it is possible for a program to be written in more programing languages?
for instance: Maya. According to Wikipedia, Maya was written in C++, MEL (scripting language), Python and c#, how does this programming languages interact with each others?

I don't have first hand experience but I would guess they use plugins. Like mini-interpreters/compilers and such.
