Hi I want to put my search box on the home page by JavaScript. Tell me how to do it?

I have a aplication.

Place input box, take value of this input and somehow handle logic of search.
Easier is to check some keywords from list(what user can serach), but this wont work if user misplace letter, or search for item not in list. For this you need to add advanced logic.
