🅰🅹 (Challenge Accepted) i think he used Bootstrap 4 in which Bootstrap used jQuery, So He Thought That dollar symbol is for jQuery as well as Bootstrap

Mask Man(What's in a Name?) Bootstrap 3 also use jQuery. For the CSS part you don't need jQuery.

santhosh Kumar Bootstrap uses jQuery for plugins like modals, tooltips, slides. If you use Bootstrap just for design purpose then no need to use jQuery.
