No. Don't fall for that. You can have brilliant code and still not get a single like. But in learning you must just focus on making good code that works. Share your products. You probably will get no likes or very feW. But you made something and shared it with the world. That has got to count for something. Programmers write code. Let the marketers deal with popularity and stuff like that. Programming is already a big enough job. Focus on your craft. You either a programmer or a marketer. Don't try to be both. You might succeed as a marketer but then your code will suck. Code or market. Not both.
