What are some reliable websites for coding contests?

Hello, everyone. I am currently enrolled in a community college and plan on transferring to a university in probably a few years. I heard that the university participates in state and national programming competitions. Although I have time to prepare for these competitions, I want to get a head start. While there are tons of websites that provides practice for programming competitions, which ones do you feel like were useful? If you have ever been in a state or national programming competition, feel free to share your experience!

I personally think Codeforces is the best competitive programming platform. Alternatives are topcoder, codechef, and atcoder (JP). Everything else is either not famous, or designed for programming interviews. Slightly off-topic but we also have a programming challenge thread here by the community: https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1270852/?ref=app feel free to check it out, and don’t forget to star the thread to receive updates.
