3**2=(-3)**2=9,but 9**(1/2)=only 3 why not -3

the square root of a negative number exists, it's a complex number! but 9**(1/2) =|3| which cannot be - 3

Root function is only the positive value. Mathematicians decided so.

Because we never get the value for square root in minus. If you know math well then you should know.
