So do I have to use css or html font face will work?

The HTML <FONT> tag is deprecated in version 4.
Now if you want to set any fonts, then it is recommended to do it using CSS.

Yes, you can still use it and it works. But it is not a good practice and not recommended.
If you want to use different types of font, you can use google fonts.

Nova But I was still able to use font in html in playground and do i have to download font types to use them?
