I recommend materialize. *Wait.. Wait before you stone me* Bootstrap surely has more features. But the disadvantage outweighs the advantage.

1. Bootstrap 3 requires you to include all the features in it even though you do not use a large portion of it. This is very bad speedwise. Bootstrap v4 solved the problem partially by Sass but its still an headache.

2. Customizing bootstrap 3 to your taste is a big head ache. You might have to sprinkle a lot of !important to your css for even the simplest things. Its not worth it that's why half of the website using bootstrap look almost the same. That's bad for a brand whose competition also use bootstrap.

3. Bootstrap is a bad habit. It makes you add styling information in your markup, get used to !important and things that can be done so easily are made complex with bootstrap.

I agree that bootstrap has its good part esp. when used with frameworks like react. I also agree that materialize also has similar dismerits. Overall its better to just use css and jquery
