.net framework isn't just for web development. C# is a good language for beginner programmers but I think you should practise using the IDE, familiarise yourself with designing the forms and read what the IDE is telling you. Btw, when you add components to the form you can select the component and apply code to the required event in the property inspector (at least in visual studio)
