CodeCademy vs FreeCodeCamp vs other

I like learning platforms but am can't pay for pro on anything. I use CodeCademy and pro looks amazing, but I use free for now. Haven't tried FreeCodeCamp but it looks like loads of content. What is your recommendation for learning platforms? I want something that gives challenges and quizzes, and some sort of real world practice other than reading pages of facts :/ Also, I'm still unsure what all languages I'll learn or what path I'll follow, I'm just learning coding for the sake of understanding programming in general. I'll likely learn web dev and game design, but Python seems cool too. So language matters not, just understanding and practice with real projects and quizzes.

If you go to join pro membership of codeacademy it's good but you can choose udemy for it , and of you go for free here freecodecamp is the best resource

go to freecodecamp/learn and start from the beginning, leave every other online resource for now. after a while on fcc you will develop a sense of deciding the quality of courses.

Freecodecamp is really wonderful and I love it but it is javasript-focused. If this is your goal, go for it and learn every day! if you want to learn Python, Ruby, C-family then devote your time (1) completing the excellent step-by-step SoloLearn courses, (2) play a lot of amusing challenges and mark your errors, (3) try the new code coach features. You will love this journey to new realms of knowledge :)

First freecodecamp videos (most of them are great) on youtube and then sololearn on mobile to refresh them. After those, try to build your own webpage with the help of w3schools
