How to be a real programmer?

Hi!
It's been a while since I have this question and I just wanted to know how to work with the programming languages?
I mean I have learned so much syntaxes but I don't know what people want a programmer to do? I know the everything in teory but when it comes to actually do something with it...nothing...

Do you mean, how to be a professional programmer, to make a living with it?

That would depend a lot on what sort of company and job it is specifically.

Or is it more about writing your first programs for yourself?

I have wrote some programs fo myself but all are console apps
I wanted to know
1 how to write a program which i can sell not console program
2 if i want to work for a company what knowledge should i have. Syntax is not enough clearly

You could start a website, this way you could have advertisements on the webpage for which you will get paid.
