Some of you guys that are Android developers; do you use kotlin or java for development?

I'm starting to develop on Android and wondering what is the best way to manage.

I can recommend you to learn java(if not learned ) if you know Java then use java for basics app then go for KOTLIN. While few months earlier GOOGLE announces that they are making KOTLIN compulsory for android app development. But truth is Java is still relevant for android APP development. P.S. : I'm not developer but I love to make apps :) Hope it helps.

rudolph flash No difficulties at all. I use the latest version of React Native. As far as I know, you need to use version 0.59.1 or higher to avoid the 64bit issue.

The Kotlin examples are slim compared to the Java ones so reading Java to code in Kotlin is required doing Android development. The Java to Kotlin conversions do not come close to error free working code.

both. u can mix them. For main class I use kotlin due to some cool syntactic sugar. For other classes if my students are exoerienced with Java I let them write Java.

Java is used outside App development and is more established than Kotlin but the number of people who say Kotlin is better is increasing.
