Please read it completely to understand why web development is still in use. I have been in web development since many months. Its okay if i don't have more experience, but the time and days that i have spent in web development is almost like a heaven. If you know HTML, CSS, Bootstrap you can be a web designer. Just come out of the box, learn something new like JS frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. For back end you can go for C++, C#, or Python With Ms SQL, PL/SQL or MySql as database. With website templates or websites like wix, you will have a good looking website but you wont have the features and functionalities that YOU actually want. It has no back end code to handle. These websites are good for display. You wont have the complete control with database and data that you want to show to people. That's why web development is still trending. It gives you free hand to implement your own mind, features, and functionalities. You wont get it through websites like Wix. Hope this helps.

If you have a specific vision for your website, the drag and drop editor you choose may not come with everything you need. You may not need coding experience to get your site up and running at first, but that doesn’t mean you won’t need some later down the road to make your site uniquely yours.

There are many drag and drop website building tools out there but think about "security", flexibility, cost. If you are rich enough to buy anything then there is no need to learn.

Cheaper at the initial stage but will cost more in future. They will give you default security features but not to a maximum extent.

In my view, all programming will evolve with more and more routine tasks being automated freeing the developer to focus on higher level creative aspects.
