why does the < /p> closing tag is error ?

<p align="center">This is a text <br /> <hr width="10%" align="right" /> This is also a text. </p> the third line (closing p tag) is an error, it says "Unexpected end tag (p). ignored what does it mean? pardon me for my very bad English

<hr> is a block element. And inline element like <p> can’t contain a block element. if you want a line between two paragraph, you use two <p> and the border-bottom of the first <p> can be the line. <hr>is used to define a change in content. for example, between two <section> good luck!! 💪
