Is it a good idea to learn more than one programming language at a time?

First of all, I'm a beginner, so I'm just starting to get familiarized with the basic concepts of C++ (the first programming language I've attempted to learn). Since I'm also interested in Java, would it be convenient if I built my knowledge on both simultaneously?

i cant do that. just gets all confuse and blurry in my brain parts. if you can go for it. but i was all like nar one hurts enough for now
