View Count Update

I know this is stupid, but the latest update has kind of discouraged me from making codes. Some codes have 40+ upvotes (which I was proud of) but since the view count, the ratios are discouraging me. One of the ratios is something like: 60 upvotes : 3.2k views Other people's are like 200 views with 70 upvotes. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Number of likes is not important, actually it's pretty useless , and you shouldn't care. You should be happy because more than 3k people saw your code, and just because they didn't press that 👍button it doesn't mean that they didn't like it. Anyway this feature is completely useless. hope they will fix no connection problems already.

Yes. The difference between likes and views is big. Perhaps some people who view your code hasn´t enought experience to understand it and appreciate it. But I think that difference isn´t important. I think that being able to learn something new and to create a good code is enought to encourage me to keep on learning and practicing.

//3.2k views : 3.2k likes is positive ++ but we always forget to upvote others code.

( ͡⚆ ͜ʖ ͡⚆) I feel like so. Even a Awesome code having 80 likes but Views up-to 800 I'm not trying to say That like My code no , but if any user did not Like the code and Found some problems than he/she should must contact me. It's better for both. That's My words.

Many people may be new to programming thus they don't get how your code works - since SoloLearns main idea is to learn programming. Therefore they simply don't upvote your code. But if they may have the experience, they may take some seconds to upvote it. And second of all, your code got over 3K views - you should be happy that people noticed your code and decided to take a look on it.

As Coder said, the count does not count unique views, it counts every view including your own. So if you go into your own code 20 times while working on it, that already puts you at 20/0. Also there are some codes that I go into mutiple times for reference but can only upvote once. So that said, the view-count to up-vote ratio is pretty pointless 😉
