really depends on your goals.
if its ux design just a nice looking website
if its front end..a website using js elements. for great impression use react or angular. make it fluid for mobile and pcs of different resolutions
if its full stack show a well defined website that is fluid for all screen types and utilizes database features ie php or mongodb.
