For more basic exercises in JavaScript I'd recommend CodeCademy if you still have no ideas what you want to try making on your own or would like some more exercises. (I don't know if it has any for node js, mobile site won't let me check. Will update tonight on that.)

What's especially great with it is that they make you code small exercises from scratch and step by step. Try going at your own pace and checking the help tab when you're stuck.
