Trouble with linux installation.

so lately i deleted my linux VM which had a virus and now im trying to re-install the same distro but when i tried re-installing it it got stuck at 14% and crashed my PC. i tried again. 14% crashed ( i tried about 15 times all crashed on 14%) then i decided to try another distro so then i tried Kali Linux, same result, stuck at 14%, tried through terminal in blackarch, stuck at 14%. please help

@James im installing on a VM im new to linux so idk much but it does have something to do with partioning and writing chanhes to the disk idk tho
