What is the difference between HTTP and HTTPS?

I really want to know what HTTP and HTTPS stand for, but I also want to know what the difference is. Please help, N⊙ω!

My Exact Question But I'll Answer It!!! HTTP - HyperText Transfer Protocol is an application layer protocol that allows web based applications to communicate, the client sends a request and the server responds HTTPS - HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure is similar to HTTP except its way of transferring messages is encrypted so that it may be hard for hackers to infiltrate!!
