Xpl0it its ok. I understand ;) lol yea, good point. Most HLL devs nowdays also dont even use low level debuggers, let alone an IDEs debugger. Same here ;)
Lua would be nice. Better than Python IMO. Assembly should be added. I feel its very powerful and great for computer scientists, but soon becoming legacy like Pascal BASIC COBOL etc. Kotlin would be nice too (learning)
They should do surveys about languages to be added in the future.
Xpl0it Yeah thats the thing. Only fewer people will use it like Pascal BASIC and COBOL are still used, but considered legacy. legacy != deprecated or unused. I still use various asm languages for some of my projects, same as BASIC and Pascal, but its not taught or needed like it used to be. I see how my words couldve lead to thinking asm will be forgotten now that i re-read my comment xD
I'm with happy I would love to see Lua added. I use it quite often. And it is very powerful.
I want Go, R and Rust. They have been much hyped lately and are good choices for the future programmers. I'll continue learning them and try to create lessons after my exams are over. I also want Haskell, but most people will hate it and it's more of an academic programming language than a language used in IT industry.
For my Generation are Basic and Pascal a Time Journey back to the Youth.
Hahaha! I hope that the bit about assembly becoming legacy was a joke. Assembly will never become legacy. Not for as long as there are hackers and security engineers.
Hahah! True. No attack from this IP. Just wanted to clarify. When you mention it like that, I kinda agree. It'll be a field day for low level devs when HLLs are the primaries and devs continue to build with vulnerabilities they're unaware they're creating. I'm excited to see how things play out.
Pascal and Delphi
I think brainfuck should be added on SoloLearn. It will certainly become a really important language for machine learning. (it's ironic, but brainfuck is a real language)
Ive seen brainfuck briefly on peculiar site. Who named it that way???
