Every smart device in your life has programs making it work. Some knowledge to use these devices is definitely required. The personal information that isn't allowed is emails or other details that could allow a stalker to find you. Ages have been shared previously though, if you're under 13, it would be best to avoid sharing it. After all, you stated you were 13 or older signing up.

anyway, programing is important because it makes most of our world function, without us, the programers, the entire internet would fall, machines would cease to work, phones; computers; calculators; even ovens and microwaves, would no longer work

If you have to ask that question, you should not be learning. And we don't depend on tech, it is self-propagating. 20 years back, nobody needed a camera on their cellphone. 200 years back, nobody needed a phone. 2000 years back, we didn't even have gas, let alone electricity. The right gimmick creates a market, and once everyone has one, we come to rely on it.

Programing makes all software that is being used. Anything digital uses programs to operate. All games, robots, OS's, etc, use coding to do what they do
