I do not understand the order in the code or is it irrelevant!?

I think it will make your code easily understandable. And for the sake of orderliness, the head tag, <head>, is next after the basic tag, <html>, before <body>.
When you take note of your output, the contents of head tag comes before that of the body. That's an order of priority and arrangement which also helps you to remember all your tags especially when you relate it to the human stature.
