Big companies need such a high level of infrastructure, performance and customisation that wordpress is no option for them. They still need you.

In wordpress you can't modify others theme or create your own without learning programming, if u want to make some changes in your wordpress site then you have to know html/css/js/php

These days you need to know all those, AND about frameworks, and repository systems like git etc. A modern programmer needs to know a lot of skills. The salaries have remained the same, but cost of living has gone up, yet these days you need to know ten times as much than the 1990s! It's a harder profession now in my view. People used to get jobs only knowing C! A CV with only C, probably wouldn't get someone a job these days. At least it's more challenging, which can be fun. There are lots of developers flooding the market. I would learn AI or data analysis now if I was starting out. Web design will decline over time. More people moving to apps, basic websites can be designed without a web designer now. https://uxmag.com/articles/why-web-design-is-dead
