Is is possible to build my a whole operating system on my own?

Can i build an android oprating system or (custom rom) on my own? And which programming language should i be good at?
And can i make it with android studio?

Operating systems are very complicated to write. Usually takes millions of lines of code to make a basic one.

A very very very small Operating System, yes; but go ahead and look up how many lines of code are in the Windows, Mac, and Linux OS's. 👍 That'll give you an idea
