Will artificial intelligence replace web developers?

I was thinking about how people don't even need web developers to make websites anymore because we have sites that make websites by AI and programming. This kind of worried me because I like web developing and I don't want to go out of demand or have a program do the jobs for me. Do you think that web development career could be replaced by machines?

Well, it's pretty simple. It is perfectly possible for an AI to build a website. The question is whether or not it's a site that you want. AI operates in such a way that a clear objective has to be achieved in order for it to consider a job done. You can't just tell a bot to "build me a kwel new blog to show off my stuff, add dubstep and dank". When people hire a web dev for a project, you don't just go straight to codes. You need requirements engineering, you need to document (and negotiate with) what your employer wants, study the overall feasibility of the project, etc. Putting aside the skills to ensemble parts of code together to produce a website, it will still take centuries to build an AI close to being able to handle such projects. It is just another instance of "Will Artificial Intelligence take over #{something}", in which doubts can be answered by understanding - What AI is actually capable of. - What are the actual, complete requirements of that job in question.

Yes. Mods are just a bunch of bots with swarm intelligence algos implemented into their system.

Can we stay on topic and just talk about the possibilities of future web developers going out of demand?

Not entirely. Not as long as you have those willing to do it themselves and put the time into learning development. Plus, you get a better idea of how the website works and how to control structure, aesthetics, etc. when you do it yourself, not to mention the feeling of accomplishment from developing your own site. Additonally, the AI technology, starting out, might be too expensive for startups and small businesses if it's not openly available, so human developers will have an edge there.

AI could replace(and assist) many jobs. Even know AI can paint, write, compose songs and code. You can search for 'The Grid' or 'Firedrop', AI web landing pages designed automatically. if AI replaces Web developers some day in the future, it won't happen suddently. You would adapt. There is no reason to fear, we (humans) tend to improve. Some jobs can go to history and new kind of jobs will show up. But I really think that AI won't replace web developers soon. It could replace demand for those static sites that look like visit card, without any interactivity, for clients that just want basic informations and some presence on the web. + don't forget that someone has to repair and maintain websites. And that some clients want really unique web sites. If you like web developing, go for it, learn it, follow new technologies and toolboxes. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome! :D
