It most depends on your budget and whether or not you feel the need to bring your laptop w/h you.

Assuming you don't feel that need and you have unlimited budget, there is no great difference in terms of performance... generally talking i recommend a good laptop over a PC, just because you can use it at home, university, bed... you get the point.
