Java IDE for building a game.

Question

What java IDE would you recommend to test 2d game making? And just so you know, I'm only 12 and trying to make a small game. I dont wanna make a real game yet

Hi! I think for 2D game with Java you can use IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse and LibGDX framework

for me: VSCodium (for almost everything). free, opensource, libre.... there are no spies, no trackers, no data collected not sent....
eclipse and netbeans are "too old"
