Why is the day always one day behind. So today after my lesson it shows that my streak is now up to Thursday? It’s Friday!

This is not about coding but about a bug in Sololearn. Give me a job with Sololearn so I can fix it for you 😉 No seriously, I want a job 😂

I recheck the timestamp from the website version, and indeed the time is UTC+0. Yes, there is 5 hours difference comparing UTC-5 and UTC+0. However I'm confused by your title. You are 5 hours behind the system clock. If you finish your lesson at Friday 1am local time, the system clock is Friday 6am, there is no difference on the weekday. However if you finish at Friday 10pm local time, the system clock is Saturday 3am, "one weekday" ahead from you. Frankly I didn't notice the day difference because I try to finish a lesson around the same time every day.

Thank you for notcing that . Because that is exactly what is confusing me . I finished a lesson at 7pm so it should have marked that Friday is the day I arrived at . It didn’t make sense to me that Thursday was marked off instead. I’m still confused but I like tgat you’re thinking with me. Maybe there is a good explination.

BroFar I'm in HK. The post time on website shows 12:45 on my first post, matching 08:45 local time. Then SoloLearn uses 2 different time system. UTC+0 for the post, which helps to calculate how old the post \ message is. Then another to count the streak.

If I read the timestamp on the post from the website version correctly, the time is UTC+0. If you living in a UTC+y region, you are y hours ahead then system's time. For example, you live in UTC+8 region and finish a lesson at 6am local time. Which means the system time is 22pm in your local time.

I think I can explain. Email from SoloLearn has an address on it, and it is CA (State of California), which time zone is UTC-8. It is 2 hours apart from yours. I'm not familiar with daytime saving, maybe it also affect when the streak reset.

I think it resets at 6am So I just did a lesson at 7:30am and I’m at Friday. Although today is Saturday :) But I looked up the biggest difference in timezones is 26 hours So it’s possible , but still, I’m curious
