Is python that good after all?

I have done some research and I have figured out that even if python can complete most challenges using by far less lines of code relatively to other languages, it still lacks in terms of usage and practical utility... Whats your opinion? How many of you think that python is overall better than more powerful languages such as java and c++?

no language is better overall, it comes down to the application you need. some languages excell in one thing, but lack in another. I prefer Java for software over Python for various reasons. I prefer Java for Mobile apps/Games I prefer Python for utility purposes. Making repetitive tasks faster such as file sorting and things like that. I had a need to sort 5,000+ files one day. I did it with 12 lines of python. That would have been much more difficult with Java and considering I just needed a quick script one time as opposed to a piece of software, Python was definitely the way to go. I personally use python almost daily for one thing or another, be it practical or just screwing around. I use Java on a much more rare basis as I don't have the use for a new app or software nearly as frequently. As I said, no language is better than any other, they just excell at what THEY do *These are just my opinions, don't hate

python, by no stretch can compete with something like c++. that's not its point. it's a scripting language, meant for quick development and prototyping. use it for tasks that need to be done quick, tasks that are small, and tasks where you don't want to worry about too many details. Its fast development, slow running, if you need fast running you use something else. however, python is leading the cutting edge in machine learning and ai, so there's that I guess
