Nodejs is best for backend development.
Personally I recommend to through Nodejs.

Nodejs has many frameworks to create effective servers. You can use express (a nodejs framework) for building servers, rest api, web applications and many more.

In addition to these features, Nodejs has many libraries, npm packages which helps in development.

Nodejs is best for this, but other alternatives like PHP, Go, Python are also widely using by developers.

Debajit Das this all depends on per project as to what backend language will work.

Use express.js with mongodb, it's my favourite backend.
Express because it would be super easy for you to use it if you know Javascript.
