IDE for starters

Question

So, I'm planning to make plugins in Java. As I'm total noob in Java, just wondering — what IDE should I use? My choice fell on Eclipse or IDEA, but I can't decide the right one.
Oh, and btw, I think I'll need GitHub integration as well.

If you can use IntelliJ for free. Use it.
Otherwise I would use Eclipse
