Why was I rate-limited for an hour?

I was browsing new codes in the code playground, and when I tried to open one, I got the message that I was rate-limited, and looking at the retry-after header says that I was rate-limited for 3321 seconds (55 minutes approx.). Why is this a thing? Images: https://imgur.com/a/JyJkNJk Just to clarify: I am not asking what rate-limiting is. I am asking why the system is so sensitive, since it got triggered from me just browsing the code playground.

This error is sent from CloudFlare service. The error indicates that you have done too many thing in a period of time in a website. It has something to do with what you did in SoloLearn for a moment. The rate limit indicates the maximum limit of what you can do in a period of time. It's used to block server attacks from hackers that want to crash the server by sending hundreds, thousands of requests per seconds so that the server can't handle it. Patrik Käpyaho There is a limit to access section on Sololearn. If you access same section many times then they think that you are trying to hack something so they put limit to access any page. If they get too many request from same request then they block that request for some time.
